The Guardian reports today that industry executives are considering a ‘radio scrappage’ scheme to help increase the uptake of Digital Radio. The new scheme, planned along the lines of the car scrappage scheme, might mean customers buying a new digital radio get a 20% discount if they bring in their old analogue model.

The industry estimate there are 100 million old analogue radios out in Britain right now, so this scheme could impact a lot of us should it come to pass. More news as it happens!
